Day Codes

Sat = 0
Sun = 1
Mon = 2
Tue = 3
Wed = 4
Thu = 5
Fri = 6

Month Codes

Jan = 1
Feb = 4
Mar = 4
Apr = 0
May = 2
Jun = 5
Jul = 0
Aug = 3
Sep = 6
Oct = 1
Nov = 4
Dec = 6

Century Codes

1500 – 1599 = 0
1600 – 1699 = 6
1700 – 1799 = 4
1800 – 1899 = 2
1900 – 1999 = 0
2000 – 2099 = 6
2100 – 2199 = 4
2200 – 2299 = 2
2300 – 2399 = 0

Example:

What was the day of the week on 24th July 2011?

Ans:

Formula:-(Date + Month code + No.of years + No.of leap year + Century code)/7

= (24 + 0 + 11 + 2 + 6)/7 = 43/7 = 1

= Sunday
